Erica's Original Vineyard Lightship Sweater was designed in the 80's to commemorate the Island's Lightship. Our updated version reflects the quality and craftsmanship of the original vintage Guernsey Fisherman Sweater that was made and sold only at Erica Wilson. The actual Nantucket Lightship sat off the shores of Nantucket as an aid to navigation for boats traveling near the shallow waters of our little island. The Nantucket shoals shipwrecked many a boat before the lightship was anchored in place serving as a beacon from 1854 till 1973.
Our Cotton Vineyard Lightship Sweater is Hand Loomed in New York. The 100% combed cotton yarn is organically grown by independent farmers in rural India under the tutelage of a Swiss enterprise that guarantees the farmers not only a market for their bounty, but a premium price that helps pay for structural, educational and vocational improvements to their communities. The yarn is shipped to Europe where it is dyed to strict EU ecological standards.
For all orders, shipping cost is based on location and the items in your order. Shipping price is determined at checkout. International shipping is also determined at checkout.
